Tasting Notes:
Aromas of spicy plums, boysenberries, licorice and white pepper. The palate is soft and generous with plum and dark cherry fruits that will evolve given time.
Winemaking Notes:
Vinification & Elevage: Fully destemmed, a cold soak prior to fermentation and on skins for 14 days. The wine was pressed to aged French oak for malolactic conversion on lees. In oak for 10 months.
Viticultural Notes:
2022 will be remembered for the tiniest yields in a decade resulting from poor flowering conditions this part of Victoria. The quality of the resultant wines of this vintage however are outstanding with both concentration and finesse.
